Discover pollinator-friendly gardening practices from The Wildflower Project's founder, "Habitat" Matt Wildenauer.
​Blooming Boulevards is a 75-minute (casual), "adult enrichment" community education class, where participants will learn about native plant and pollinator species, steps to prepping a garden bed, and tips and tricks to install and preserve a native wildflower garden of their own.

Class Outline

Before the class:
  • Parking: There is street parking on N. Griggs St. and Concordia Ave. (parking available on the frontage road, both north and south of N. Griggs St.)
  • Items to consider bringing: gloves and trowel (TWP can supply, but feel free to bring your own)
  • Look for the TWP sign and a bunch of plants!

Class:
  • Garden tour; species discussion
  • Boulevard template (handout)
  • Site preparation; sod cutting
  • Planting and seeding
  • Q&A throughout - pick our brains!
